Composition:

Inactivated Haemophilus parasuis serotype SV1; Inactivated Haemophilus parasuis serotype SV6. Adjuvant.

Over the last years, one of the most important bacterial processes in swine have been infections produced by the microorganisms of the genus Haemophilus sp. In this group, Haemophilus parasuis is the aetiological agent of Glässer’s disease. This disease can affect pigs of various weights and ages, but it mainly affects animals in the postweaning period or during the first weeks of the fattening period. After many scientific studies performed in our laboratory, we have developed a vaccine which includes the two most important serotypes for the prevention of Glässer’s disease. The disease is clinically characterized by producing arthritis, polyserisitis and occasionally meningitis in affected pigs. These two serotypes, duly inactivated and adjuvanted, if properly applied, produce a high immunogenic response.

Dosage and Administration:

Intramuscular, into the neck muscles

Swine: 2 ml/pig, for all weights, ages and sex.

Generally, the following vaccination programme is recommended: Sows: Vaccination of the whole group and revaccination 3 weeks later. Apply a booster vaccination every 6 months. Piglets and Weaned pigs: Vaccination when 3 to 4 weeks old and revaccination 3 weeks later

Note:

- It can be administered at any time during the gestation and lactating periods.

- A sporadic anaphylactic reaction may appear in some sensitive animals. In such a case administer an antihistaminic

Precaution:
