Inactivated vaccine against Newcastle disease, in injectable emulsion
Newcastle disease is caused by a haemagglutinating virus which belongs to the family of Paramyxovirus. Prophylaxis against this disease is carried out by using lentogenic and live modi ed strains with low pathogenic effects, which are administered to create an interference and to stimulate actively the immunological system of birds. Immunity duration is limited by using live vaccines and can produce adverse reactions after administration to animals which are not free from PPLO. For this reason, it is advisable to use inactivated vaccines like HIPRAVIAR BPL2 which increase the levels of immunity conferred by live vaccines and maintain them for a longer period of time, avoiding any undesirable reaction in vaccinated birds.

Composition:
Inactivated Newcastle disease virus.
Indication: To create active immunity against Newcastle disease in Chickens, Layers and Breeders:
Dosage and Administration: 0.5 ml/bird.
- Subcutaneous, into the mid back region of the neck, or intramuscular, into the breast muscles.
- In chickens, the subcutaneous route is always recommended.
Generally, the following vaccination programme is recommended:
Chickens:
During the first week of age Live vaccines against Newcastle disease
At 3-5 weeks of age Live or inactivated vaccines (HIPRAVIAR BPL2)
Layers and Breeders:
During the first week of age Live vaccines against Newcastle disease
At 3-5 weeks of age Live or inactivated vaccines (HIPRAVIAR BPL2)
At 3 months of age Live or inactivated vaccines (HIPRAVIAR BPL2)
At 5 months of age (at the start of the laying period) Inactivated vaccines (HIPRAVIAR BPL2)
Withdrawal period: Zero days.
Note:
- It is advisable to administer the vaccine at a temperature between +15 and +25 °C.
- Shake before and during administration.
Precaution: Store at +2 to +8 °C, avoiding freezing.
