TYLOVETo-20 can be used by cattle and swine.
Packaging: This is the long-action injection solution, packed in 100ml bottle.
Composition: Per 1ml solution:
- Tylosin (base) ... 200 mg.
- Excipients as 1 ml.
Indications: Species: Swine and cattle.
Infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to tylosin, such as:
- Cattle: Respiratory tract infections (pneumonia) in cattle and pigs: Pasteurella multocida, Corynebacterium pyogenes...; Dysentery and Arthritis caused by Mycoplasma spp., Mastitis (Streptococcus) and Endometritis (Staphylococcus)...
- Swine: arthritis caused by Mycoplasma spp. or Corynebacterium pyogenes, Dysentery caused by Vibrio spp., swine erysipelas (Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae)
Contra-indications:
- Swine having the weight lower than 3kg, if impossible to determine the exact dosage.
- Cattle in the milking stage for human use.
- Hypersensitivity to macrolides.
- Administration to horses.
Dosage and Administration: For deep intramuscular injection:
- Cattle: 0.5-0.9 ml / 10 kg body weight. (equivalent to 10-18 mg tylosin base/kg body weight) every 24 hours for 3-5 days.
- Swine: 0.45-0.5 ml/10 kg body weight (equivalent to 9-10 mg tylosin base/kg body weight) every 12 hours for 3 days.
Withdrawal time: Cattle & Swine (for meat): 21 days.
Storage: Store away from moisture, light and heat.
Special warning:
Drug interactions: Do not use in combination with bactericidal antibiotics.
Expiry date: 36 months from date of manufacture.
